Last night we were treated to Sony's State of Play Showcase, where they showed off some of their new PS VR2 titles in the works and a plethora of upcoming third-party games. Sony also used this event to reveal the official release date for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered coming to PC.
It's no surprise that the announcement stole most of the focus, seeing as Marvel's Spider-Man has managed to remain one of the most critically-acclaimed Marvel superhero games ever since its debut back in 2018. Now on August 12th, 2022, PC users will experience the game in all its remastered glory for the first time.
The release date for Spider-Man's PC debut wasn't the only spidey-related news that came out yesterday. Just after the State of Play event ended, Insomniac confirmed via a PlayStation Blog post that Spider-Man: Miles Morales would also be coming to PC sometime in fall 2022. For those in South Africa, this translates to sometime between September and November of this year.
Insomniac has also reassured players that both Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be arriving on PC as a complete bundle, including all the released DLC content as well as all the additional story content.
The announcement of Spider-Man slinging his way to PC wasn't all that surprising, however, as PlayStation has been very vocal as of late about their plans to move their games onto as many platforms as possible. Sony has said they hope to have ported more than half of their library to PC by no later than 2025.
